A healthy obsession - between the heroes, the places and the charms of Call me by your name - as well as a book is also many other things together: it is the product of a lasting passion that involved a large but unspecified number of individuals; it is the result of a good persistence for everything that could relate to a film and its protagonists; it is an amusing fixation that led the writer to discover certain places in northern Italy that were not even considered before; is an essay with only one main source and it is a long declaration of love for the two heroes of the film, for the places immortalized and for those 80s that many viewers have been lucky enough to experience firsthand (or even only in part), but millennials have also been able to discover and love; it is also a long paraphrase, interspersed with the analysis of the psychological profile of the characters and the story (experienced in the first person) of the beautiful and spectacular locations used as gentle sets and undisputed protagonists, with Elio and Oliver, of the film.
